The Hotel

Ouray is known as “The Switzerland of America” and is a gorgeous classic Colorado mountain town surrounded by the rocky peaks of the San Juan Mountains. Box Canyon Lodge & Hot Springs is a charming Victorian style hotel dating back to 1959. The historic charm of the hotel has been maintained throughout the years in keeping with the Victorian architecture present throughout the town of Ouray. The hotel is conveniently located at a quiet end of road location near the entrance of box canyon. The hotel is known for the medicinal mineral hot springs that percolate out of the hillside behind the hotel and is captured in 7 red cedar tubs before it empties into the Uncompahgre River across the street from the hotel. We invite you to take a step back in time at Box Canyon Lodge & Hot Springs and enjoy everything Ouray has to offer.
